APRIL PRAYER EXPERIENCE

THE TOUCHING THE STILLNESS APRIL PRAYER EXPERIENCE

120 years ago a small group of individuals came together and sat in the silence for 15 minutes at 10:00 PM every night for a month. The results were so remarkable that this band of prayerful Truth seekers extended the invitation to others to join them in their nightly silent vigil whenever it was 10:00 PM local time.
And so it is that Unity’s world-wide, 24-hour ministry of prayer, Silent Unity, was born and is today a national movement that prays with people from around the world of every faith and denomination.
To honor Silent Unity’s 120th Anniversary, Touching the Stillness is dedicating its April Prayer Experience to a 15-minute silent prayer vigil, as initiated by the Fillmore family all those years ago.
Prayer changes our lives because it changes us. If you too are ready to witness the effect of audacious, bold, courageous prayer-powered living then be sure to be join us for this 30-day Prayer Experience.

What: Spend 15 minutes of dedicated time in silence, and witness the good that we desire pour forth into our lives. Fifteen minutes may seem like a long stretch for some but in no time, with practice, it will become an enjoyable habit.  God Energy powerfully expresses in Silence.
When: 10:00 PM (your local time) every evening for 30 days from 01 April to 30 April, 2010.
Why: To be part of a life-changing Prayer Experience that will positively influence your life, and lives of all with whom you affirmatively pray, through the transformative activity of silence.

To begin your silent vigil, you may wish to set sacred intention with the following affirmation:
“I WALK IN THE CHARMED CIRCLE OF GOD’S PROSPERING LOVE AND I AM DIVINELY IRRESISTIBLE TO MY HIGHEST GOOD NOW!”

Running for life on April 3rd

I've  joined Team World Vision, and will run/walk a half marathon (the 13.1 NY benefiting World Vision), and help change lives in Africa on my birthday this Saturday. Will you help?
I am raising money to help dig wells and provide clean water in African countries like Kenya. When a community gains access to clean water, here's what happens:
> The infant mortality rate is cut in half
> Children can attend school instead of walking up to 6 miles for water each day
> Women can spend time learning a trade to support their family instead of collecting water
> Overall health is improved with clean water and sanitation
> Crops and livestock thrive with clean water and proper irrigation
The problem of poverty can seem overwhelming. But I believe there is something we can do. Whether you can give $10 or $1000, no amount is too small. Together we can help change lives in Africa.
Thanks for your support. Hold me in prayer as I begin my year towards ultimate fitness and service.

Giving

"Give of your substance with the thought that it is
God's money you are handling.
Realize that it is his tenth you are giving for His Glory...
Take God into partnership with you and you will demonstrate abundance."
Teach us to Pray, Charles Fillmore
