Seven Virtues- Knowledge

Knowledge

Peter was aware that knowledge for its own sake is a thing as prone to make us foolish as to make us smart. This knowledge that Peter mentions isn't as much of the mind as it is of the heart. It's a knowing of rather than a knowing about.

There is in us a knowing capacity transcending intellectual knowledge. Nearly everyone has at some time touched this hidden wisdom and has been astonished at its revelations. The knowing that we receive from the direct contact with the Mind of God with our mind is real spiritual knowing.

We can store up a great amount of knowledge from books and teachers, but the most uneducated person who sits at the feet of Spirit in the silence comes forth radient with the true knowledge, that of Spirit.

Its been said "to know God is to love God"
